As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment Banking (CIB)– IMOS Technology team, you will serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted -leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
Job responsibilities
Executes standard software solution, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
Designs, develops, writes secure and high-quality code including unit, integration testing while contributing to quality improvement through code reviews, adherence to code/architecture standards, and promoting code reuse
Applies technical troubleshooting to breakdown solutions and solve technical problems of basic complexity with consideration of upstream and downstream systems
Gathers, analyzes, and draws conclusions from large, diverse data sets to identify problems and contribute to decision-making in service of secure, stable application development
Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
Guide and support junior team members
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts with 3+ years applied experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using Java, Junit, Maven, Hibernate, Spring Boot, Spring JPA ,kafka with hands on SQL writing experience on RDBMS like oracle
Experience with test driven development and agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, recovery strategies and Security
Openness for acquiring new skills and learning new technologies in short time span
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Hands on experience of Amazon Web Services or other cloud technologies
Experience in banking domain
Mentoring team members
