Job Summary

As a Software Engineer III at in Athena Trade & Risk Services team in Corporate Investment Banking at JPMorgan Chase, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.

Job Responsibilities
• Candidate will be expected to understand the Markets Business and work on flagship product Athena and its Ecosystem gaining expertise to various in-house Athena core frameworks.
• Candidates will have opportunity to contribute across the whole Tech Stack, Front to Back across Regulatory requirements, Global Middle Office requirements, and engineering driven improvements to the Athena Ecosystem for whole spectrum of Markets products.
• Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
• Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
• Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
• Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
• Formal training, or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
• Excellent coding, automated unit testing, refactoring, OO design.
• Passionate about programming.
• Good design skills
• Good understanding of OOPS and experience in one object oriented language.
• Exposure to Test driven development preferred.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
• Knowledge of AWS Data Source
• Knowledge of Python preferred.
