Position – Software Engineer II
Required Experience Level – 2-6 years of production support & Java/J2EE developer experience
Work Location – Bangalore
Educational Qualification – B.E/B.Tech
Work Shift – India shift including weekends (5 days week – Other 2 weekdays to be considered as holidays)
About Team & Product/Project Details:
In the Loans and Leases there are specific collection efforts which must be made for the investor to provide the funds guaranteed for a loan. If these procedures are not followed, the claim for these funds may be denied.
The FIS Auto Finance Suite – Default Manager offers a customer-centric collections activity for your customers, business clients related to Auto Finance loans and leases. A typical collection software to track and follow-up with debtors, predict, and prioritize debt recovery integrated with ERP and Auto loan management systems covers the overall debt management process
What you will be doing (Shift Time & Key Roles and Responsibilities):
As the Java Developer you would be directly responsible for analyzing, design, program, debug and modify software enhancements and or new products used in local / networked or internet related computer programs. (Code must be used in core version of applications available for sale commercially)
As a production support engineer, you will be monitoring daily batch jobs that run during India general shift hours and resolve if there are any issues ensuring the SLAs are met. Existing escalation matrix process to be followed. Update incident log once any issues are resolved. Inform stakeholders of the issue & resolution followed.
Your time may be split 50-50 between production support & development activities.
You would report to the Development Manager. Primary responsibility for working with other developers in the team at FIS to ensure a quality delivery in a timely fashion.
In addition
• Interacts with product managers and/or users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
• Participates in software design meetings and analyzes user needs to determine technical requirements.
• Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.
• Writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications using current programming languages and technologies.
• Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
• Trains and communicates with internal Client Training, Client Relationship and Sales teams on systems application.
• May be responsible for developing or executing project plans, budgets, and schedules and for documenting work and results.
• May deliver informational and decision-seeking presentations to technical and business groups to internal and/or external audiences.
• Other related duties assigned as needed.
• This position also includes UAT and production support for the project.
What you bring (Experience Level & Mandatory Skills in potential candidate):
• Solid 2-6 years of experience on Core Java, Spring, JDBC/JPA/Hibernate, Web services
• Experience with PL-SQL, Database - Oracle
• Experience with HTML, CSS & Javascript development
• Understanding or knowledge in Build Release activities
• Domain knowledge in Banking and Finance or Auto Finance Loans/ Lending will be added advantage
• Experience working on Linux/ UNIX
• Experience working in an Agile methodology. Understanding of all scrum ceremonies and their values
• Leading a team technically on delivery aspect whenever required
• Ability to leads team during conflicts and lead technical discussion to resolution
• Experience in triaging production / UAT and development batch cycles and batch issues will be added advantage
• Skill in communications, analytical and people skills
• Skill in leading, supervising and managing effectively under pressure
• Ability to be comfortable interacting and maintain positive working relationship with other stakeholders
• Ability to analyze business needs and determine related information services support
• Ability to operate independently
• Ability to exhibit solid decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

• Experience dealing with large financial services clients.
• Experience being part of a small company in its early development stages.
• Early career experience as a lead developer/architect on Web based Angular and J2EE projects dealing with large scale distributed systems
