Software Development Engineer in Test
A Software Design Engineer in Test (SDET) at Planify is a developer with the primary responsibility of writing frameworks and tools to test products. It is a very unique and challenging role and provides immense opportunity to design and develop wide-reaching tools. It combines the "building" aspect of software design engineering with the "breaking" aspect of software test engineering.
Responsibilities
• Design and scale the device lab and automation for multiple platform teams (Android, iOS, Fire Tablet, Voice and Desktop).
• Design and implement automation framework that work across multiple platforms.
• Lead automation efforts, and explore new test automation tools and methods.
• Defining automation plan to support international app releases.
• Establish processes and tool set to maintain automation scripts and generate regular test reports.
• Working directly with Developers, QA Engineers, Product Managers, Software Dev Managers and Technical Program Managers to ensure quality of our platforms and international launches.
• Working with many cross teams to support automation infrastructure.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar technical field
• Experience in object oriented designing and object oriented languages such as Java, . NET, Objective C, C++, Python, Ruby
• Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Java/Python/C++ coding experience
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong, object-oriented design and coding skills
• Experience with Android, iOS or other mobile application development or testing is a plus
