Job Description:
We are looking for a Backend SDET to help build and implement a robust testing for our API, which is built on Node.js and Express. This role will focus on setting up automated API tests and creating a solid CI/CD pipeline. You’ll also support the frontend QA process to ensure a seamless user experience across all platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement automated tests for our backend API using Jest and Supertest.
- Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines (using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar).
- Ensure comprehensive API test coverage with a focus on stability, scalability, and performance.
- Work closely with developers to integrate testing into the development process.
- Assist with frontend QA, identifying bugs, and ensuring high-quality releases.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in testing Node.js and Express-based APIs.
- Proficient in Jest, Supertest, and API test automation.
- Experience with setting CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
- Solid understanding of testing principles and best practices.
- Experience with Git and version control workflows.
Great to Have:
- A keen eye for detail, especially in identifying differences between the UI/UX design and the actual implementation.
- Ability to ensure that app functionality perfectly aligns with the original design specifications.
- Experience in frontend QA, including visual testing and UI consistency checks.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with developers, PM and designers to resolve discrepancies in functionality and design.
