Experience
• Responsible for provide Test estimations for SIT/Component tests
• Responsible for Test Strategy, Test Planning, Test Execution and Defect reporting
• Responsible for managing defects raised by individuals. This will include systems and tools to use, stakeholders to update, information to manage, and people to follow-up with to make sure they get fixed as soon as possible.
• Responsible in adopting Automation First approach
• Responsible for devising and implementing all relevant parts of the test strategy and transformation to make testing better.
• Responsible for preventing similar problems happening again for us and our customers.
• Responsible for building automation for new funcation and regression tests.
• Responsible for maintain the regression tests across environments including Live
• Responsible for coaching new people in the team to achieve their full potential
• Responsible for keep ones knowledge up to date with respect to understanding the main products and services for Global. This means the individual knows how the products are ordered, how faults are fixed, how multiple products fit together and how data can be set-up to stimate the scenarios in test.
Skills
• Functional Exposure: Software testing experience of 5-6yrs minimum, preferably in telecoms, definitely in complex environment. Exposure to any of the following COTS tools will be beneficial:
a. BSS Engine: Customer Quotation Engine, Customer Order Management
b. OSS Fulfilment: Service Design/Assign, Network Provisioning, Network Discovery
c. OSS Assurance: Network Fault and Performance Management
d. Service Problem Management: Incident Journey, Change Journey and Problem Journey.
• Knowledge of: software testing, functional or non-functional test analysis, agile testing, defect management, automation.
• Test data management for stubs and harnesses an advantage
• Tools & Platforms: Practitioner across various tools like (just an indicative list, experience on similar tools is also fine):
a. Jira
b. Confluence
c. Selenium
d. Cucumber
e. AWS
f. Git
• Improvement Focus: You question and challenge the way things are done and work with others to make improvements. You build your understanding of the end to end processes to which your own role and the wider team contributes.
• Desirable: understands the interfaces with Testing Teams, Design teams for functional knowledge, feeding in and driving through improvement initiatives and strategy.
