Lockheed Martin Space is currently seeking a Summer 2026 Software Engineering Intern. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of Web application development with an emphasis on front-end technologies including at least one of the following - HTML, CSS, Node.js and JavaScript. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance.
This position is a rare opportunity... an opening on one of Lockheed Martin's most successful programs! Come join the MARK IV-B team! We are the leading weather program of US Armed Force that receives meteorological satellite data from all over the world. Our + ground station around the world provide critical situation awareness weather data for our frontline troops. Our servers control the antennas, obtain and manipulate the data, then provide the images to our client product. Our client product itself provides our users with countless functionalities for our downloaded data. MARK IV-B handles everything from start to finish. We are currently looking to expand our software team and will create the perfect role for the right individual.
Basic Qualifications:
• Pursuing bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or equivalent.
• Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Desired Skills:
• Strong communications skills (written and verbal), strong team leadership, administrative and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently or as a member of a team.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
