WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

●Building GraphQL interfaces for clients to query, documenting GraphQL interfaces.

●Maintaining the schema, joining on-call rotation,

●Monitoring service health and responding to incidents, participating in architecture discussions

●Automating cloud infrastructure, improving deployment processes,

●Contributing to developer-facing sections of the CMS

Cross-functional team: Backend

Primary responsibilities: Building GraphQL interfaces for clients to query, documenting GraphQL interfaces, maintaining the schema, joining on-call rotation, monitoring service health and responding to incidents, participating in architecture discussions

Ancillary responsibilities: Automating cloud infrastructure, improving deployment processes, contributing to developer-facing sections of the CMS

Which teams/people will this role coordinate with? Product lead, engineering lead, engineering peers, testers, developers from customer teams

Must-have on the job experience: GraphQL schema design, GraphQL queries and mutations, GraphQL resolvers, PostgreSQL, REST API consumption, API design and development, logging and monitoring instrumentation

Nice-to-have on the job experience: Python, Django, Heroku, AWS AppSync, Apollo GraphQL, social networking, content management, video streaming, cloud orchestration,

release management, experience scaling systems with high peak concurrency, site reliability engineering

Must-have aptitude for learning in the following areas: Technical writing, automation testing

Nice-to-have degree requirements: BS Comp Sci/EE
