As we continue to expand, we’re seeking a Software Engineer who will play a key role in creating seamless onboarding experiences for our clients and ensuring their success from day one.
???? The Role
Located in Stretford, Trafford Park and comprises of Hybrid working.
The Portal team are responsible for the operational management of their services but are able to liaise with the IT & Operations team for additional resource when required. RealityMine has an out of hours on-call team (additional compensation is made) that you will be asked to join after a suitable settling in period. RealityMine employs modern development practices in our workflow, using Git alongside CI/CD, unit testing and open-source coding standards. There are lots of opportunities to work in other areas or technologies and expand your knowledge.
???? Key Responsibilities
• Understanding requirements and acceptance criteria
• Interpreting software development specifications and design documents
• Writing application code and tests that conform to standards
• Leading software development projects
• Leading the design process on recommended architecture
• Ensuring that the Portal team’s work is of high quality and adheres to our company standards.
• Coordinating with the Team lead to schedule in maintenance and other internal improvements.
• Identifying risks and developing contingency plans
• Working alongside engineering, testing, user experience and other roles
• Adhering to company policies and procedures with respect to security, quality, and health and safety.
????About You
Here’s what we’re looking for:
• Strong knowledge of programming languages and underlying development concepts to enable them to contribute to work across teams
• Ability to define technical specifications based on customer requirements
• Ability to clearly explain complex technical issues
• System architecture and design
• Strong understanding of information security, ISO 27001, and other processes and policies
• Knowledge of coding standards
• Experience with AWS & Serverless technologies
• Strong PHP knowledge utilising the Laravel or Lumen frameworks
• Strong JavaScript or TypeScript knowledge utilising the Angular framework
• HTML and CSS
Preferred
• Experience developing privacy centric applications
• Experience with optimising SQL queries when working with complex and large data sets
