Cimarron is seeking a Software Engineer with a strong background in Data Science and/or Mathematics to support the Axiom Space Commercial Space Station program in Houston, TX. The selected candidate will play a key role in implementing and enhancing a telemetry analysis tool, performing post-processing of collected telemetry data for verification, and contributing to the core functionality of automated test suites. While Python is preferred, candidates with a solid programming foundation who can quickly adapt to new languages are encouraged to apply.
Key Duties:
Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of a telemetry analysis tool.
Perform post-processing of collected telemetry data to support system verification and validation.
Develop and enhance automated test suite functionality to improve test coverage and efficiency.
Collaborate with subject matter experts across disciplines to integrate software with broader system requirements.
Participate in code reviews, documentation, and configuration management processes.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education:
Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening, which will include but is not limited to testing for ********* use.
5 or more years of software development experience.
Experience coding with C++ or Python in a Linux environment.
Experience with automated testing frameworks and test-driven development.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or another related technical discipline.
Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:
Experience with VxWorks.
Experience with real-time systems.
Experience with automated testing frameworks and test-driven development.
Familiarity with data visualization tools and libraries.
Experience working with scientific computing packages (NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, etc.).
Exposure to software development in Linux environments.
Experience supporting aerospace or defense programs.
