We are looking for a Software Engineer with 1-2 years of experience in WordPress theme and/or plugin development. The ideal candidate will collaborate with a team to build scalable, high-quality WordPress solutions, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance. Proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and MySQL is required, along with familiarity with RESTful APIs and Git. Bonus points for experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, cloud infrastructure, and Agile methodologies. In this role, as a Front-end Engineer in the Software Engineering team, you will work with a team of highly technical Software engineers, Operation Engineers, Product Managers etc to engineer great products, deliver five +'s uptime, build reliable systems, tools & automate processes. What you’ll do & how you’ll make your mark.
Collaborate with a team of developers to design, develop, maintain, and enhance high-quality WordPress plugins.
Build scalable, enterprise-class WordPress solutions with a focus on performance and security.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in WordPress-based applications.
Write clean, well-structured, testable, and maintainable code following industry best practices.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving team coding standards.
Work with RESTful APIs to integrate WordPress with other web applications.
Stay updated with the latest WordPress development trends and emerging technologies.
Contribute innovative ideas to optimize WordPress products for business needs.
Take ownership of assigned tasks and deliver high-quality results in a timely manner.
Who you are & what you’ll need to succeed.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (BE/BTech/MCA preferred).
1-2 years of experience in WordPress plugin and/or theme development.
Understanding of PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
Familiarity with WordPress core functions, hooks, and filters.
Experience working with MySQL and database optimization techniques.
Knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks such as React.js, Angular, or Vue.js is a plus.
Understanding of RESTful API development and integration.
Experience with Git and version control workflows.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
Bonus: Experience with Docker, cloud infrastructure (Kubernetes, OKD), and CI/CD pipelines.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a remote team.
