MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE
Summarize the main purpose of the role.
Position represents test engineering throughout the Software Development Lifecycle for more technical products (SDK and API). Position is responsible for adding automated tests for the product and incorporating the tests into the larger testing strategy.

Main Responsibilities
1. Complete software testing and activities for development user stories within an Agile SDLC process (products supported may be more technical in nature, i.e. SDK or API type products) 20
2. Review System Specifications/Requirements documents, user stories and create verification test cases (based on those requirements), and execute test cases. 10
3. Investigate and report unexpected events, issues or software bugs. Verify fixes 10
4. Perform exploratory testing, system level end to end testing, develop test datasets and execute automation scripts (to ensure application software releases are of high quality) 10
5. Review code diff analysis and develop robust regression test strategy 10
6. Create or consult on verification and validation test plans, test reports, trace matrices to incorporate the automated tests and review with relevant stakeholders (dev and quality) 10
7. Scripting automated tests in a programming language (e.g. Python, Javascript, etc.) 30

Moderate level of knowledge with continuous integration & continuous development (CI/CD)
Demonstrated success in technical proficiency, creativity, and independent thought
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Moderate level understanding of design patterns
Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
