The Platform Experience team is seeking a highly skilled Front-end Engineer to join our agile group of front-end and back-end developers. Successful candidates should have experience developing and operating commercial-grade web applications using React.
The Front-end Engineer will be working with local teams the majority of the time and occasionally with remote teams. The software engineer must be capable of implementing a production-quality web portal written in React under the guidance of senior software engineers. We are seeking a self-motivated, curious, and team-oriented individual who will go the extra mile to build a product with pride.
As a team member, you will:
Work closely with product managers and engineers to design, implement, test, and continually improve scalable back-end services running in a cloud platform.
Develop products using agile methods and tools.
Develop commercial-grade software that is user-friendly and suitable for a global audiences.
Plan, create and execute (manual and automated) tests for web applications.
Support production issues as part of the on-call rotation schedule for the entire development team.
Participate in design reviews, code reviews of your work, and the work of your peer engineers.
Participate in architecture and design efforts.
Work side by side with your scrum team to deliver high-quality software on time.
Who are you?:
B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA/ B.S/ MS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
2+ years of software development experience building scalable commercial web applications with agile software development methods.
1+ years of experience working with React, Javascript, HTML5, LESS, CSS3, ES6, Typescript and NodeJS.
Working knowledge of REST API integration in web applications.
Familiar with how to translate UX design wireframes into pixel-perfect web applications.
Familiarity with modern web application tools such as npm, git, webpack, ESLint, and Grunt.
Familiarity with test frameworks such as Mocha, Jasmine, Karma, and Selenium.
Familiarity with using AWS and preferably knowledge of Docker.
Experience with Linux shell, git/Gitlab, Jenkins, and continuous integration/continuous deployment.
Flexible and hard working – willing to go the extra mile or two to “get things done with high quality”.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiar with Kubernetes / Helm
Experience with operating 24x7 service
Experience with troubleshooting issues in a production environment
