Morningstar India Pvt Ltd is seeking a Software Engineer to work within Credit Technology team.
The Team: The DBRS Morningstar Credit Rating Technology team has a highly talented, hands-on and results driven engineers in the Mumbai office who interacts with various teams across the globe. This group works in agile methodologies on cutting edge technologies on cloud platform to develop & enhance technical solutions for various products.
The Role: The Software Engineer will work closely with cross functional teams, DevOps and other development teams to ensure a timely and high-quality delivery. Will have to coordinate and work with the members in a global team in a Kanban Agile way. We are looking for an individual that can apply discipline, create solid software products and be accountable for deliverables. He/she will also guide other team members to resolve their technical/functional issues.
Responsibilities
• Participate in the development with a team of developers with different skill sets.
• Build software enhancements, troubleshoot problems, and correct software defects.
• Maintain quality by establishing and enforcing Morningstar`s development standards.
• Deliver successful new functionality to our platforms.
Requirements
• Total 3+ years of experience working in the industry with minimum of 1 years of experience working on Python & AWS
• Python based development with core python, pandas etc.
• Understanding of libraries like numPy, Pandas, matplotlib using python is required
• A minimum of 1 year of experience working on AWS environment as Developer.
• Knowledge of database, Stored Procedures, NoSQL is desirable.
• Knowledge of PySpark and Amazon EMR (Cloud Big Data Platform) will be a big plus
• Prior programming experience with Java, J2EE, REST/SOAP web Services will be a big plus or Prior programming experience with C# ASP.NET , Windows Applications, Web Services & WCF Services will be a plus
• Distributed computing, with experience in cloud computing is a plus (Amazon Web Services platform and associated technologies)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Source Control, preferably Git
• Multi-threaded and Asynchronous programming
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science or an engineering field; a graduate degree is strongly preferred
