We’re looking for a Software Engineer, .NET - PnL/IPV crew to:
• design, develop, and improve the digital products and technology services we provide to our clients and employees.
• work with an agile team on an application being built with .Net Core, React front end and hosted on Azure cloud
• analyze functional requirements, design and implementation
• participate in technical design of application components in distributed / web platform
• code, test and deploy application components with local and offshore developers within a Scrum team
• responsible for delivering high quality code in production
• work with test engineers to ensure minimum defects are introduced into QA.
• work with business and IT stakeholders to discuss requirements and implementation.
Your team
In our agile operating model, Crews are aligned to larger products and services fulfilling client needs and encompass multiple autonomous Pods. You’ll be working in the CDIO Group Finance team in our Pune location in the PnL/IPV crew.
The role of the Finance function in UBS is to help make the right decisions, execute on these decisions and tell the stories of these decisions. Our technology provides the backbone for accurate and timely financial controls and reporting across all legal entities in the UBS Group. We work closely together with our product sponsors, crew product leads and colleagues to respond quickly to the needs of our Finance team, clients, regulators, and shareholders.
Your expertise
a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science/ Engineering/ Science preferred
• ideally 6-8 years of core development experience in .Net Framework, with a ideally 2 years in .Net Core.
• hands on experience with .Net Core 3 and cloud based technologies(preferably Azure) are must
• strong Design principles and object oriented principles
• hands on experience with rest services, security, experience with event based messaging on cloud will be a plus.
• experienced on automated unit and integration testing with frameworks like NUnit and mocking
• frameworks e.g. Moq or similar
• good knowledge of SQL / PostgreSQL, Data modeling and associations
• good understanding of microservices design and architecture
• source Code management techniques / build tools for software management (Git/Gitlab).
• Knowledge of release management.
• experience of Micro Services architecture can be an added advantage
• Knowledge of Python, Scala, Databricks is a plus
• any experience in financial/investment bank project, ideally Risk is a plus
• experience with Agile methods (Test Driven Development, Scrum, etc)
• fluent written and spoken English
