Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Power BI Developer with 1-3 years of experience to join our growing analytics team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data analysis and visualization using Power BI, and will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining interactive reports and dashboards that help drive business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports based on business requirements.
• Collaborate with business users to understand their data needs and provide data-driven solutions.
• Extract, clean, and transform data from various sources (e.g., SQL Server, Excel, APIs, etc.) into Power BI for reporting and analysis.
• Build and optimize complex queries and calculations using DAX (Data Analysis Expressions).
• Create data models, data relationships, and manage large datasets to ensure optimal report performance.
• Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and integrity of reports.
• Support ad-hoc reporting needs and provide insights based on data analysis.
• Continuously improve reporting processes and assist in the automation of report generation.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Power BI features and best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• 1-3 years of hands-on experience with Power BI, including report development, data modeling, and visualization.
• Strong knowledge of Power Query for data transformation and DAX for creating complex calculations.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and experience with SQL for querying databases.
• Understanding of best practices for dashboard and report design, focusing on usability and performance.
• Experience working with large datasets and optimizing Power BI reports for performance.
• Knowledge of Power BI Service (publishing, sharing, security, and scheduling data refreshes).
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and provide data solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
• Good communication skills and the ability to present complex data in a clear, concise manner.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with Power BI Premium, Power BI Embedded, or Power BI API integration.
• Knowledge of other BI tools or reporting technologies is a plus.
• Experience with other data platforms such as Azure or Snowflake is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Python, R, or other scripting languages for data analysis is a plus.
