Role Summary: We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer, Product to join our dynamic team at Game Theory. This role is primarily focused on developing high-performance mobile applications using React Native with some backend involvement. The successful candidate will contribute to both the technical and strategic aspects of product development, ensuring our apps provide an exceptional user experience and redefine the way people play sports.
Key Responsibilities: Mobile App Development : Design, develop, and maintain high-quality mobile applications using React Native as your primary focus, ensuring they align with the product vision and goals.
React Component Development : Create reusable, efficient, and well-tested React components that form the building blocks of our mobile applications.
Cross-Platform Implementation : Leverage React Native to deliver consistent user experiences across both iOS and Android platforms.
UI/UX Implementation : Collaborate with designers to transform wireframes and mockups into responsive, intuitive mobile interfaces that delight our users.
Frontend Performance : Optimize React/React Native application performance through efficient rendering, state management, and memory usage.
Supporting Backend Work : Contribute to backend development using NodeJS and MongoDB when needed to support frontend features and functionality.
API Integration : Connect mobile applications with backend services through RESTful APIs and ensure robust data flow.
Code Quality : Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to React/React Native best practices and coding standards.
Testing & QA : Implement component testing, integration testing, and participate in QA processes to ensure application reliability.
Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and backend engineers, to deliver high-quality products.
Required Qualifications: Experience : 2-4 years of full-time work experience as a Software/Product Engineer, with a primary focus on React and mobile app development.
Technical Skills :
Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and React (must-have)
Experience with React Native or willingness to quickly learn (preferred)
Understanding of React component lifecycle, hooks, and state management
Knowledge of responsive design principles and cross-platform considerations
Familiarity with RESTful APIs and mobile networking
Supporting Skills :
Basic understanding of NodeJS and MongoDB (helpful)
Experience with version control systems (Git)
Knowledge of modern front-end build pipelines and tools
Product Focus : Ability to understand and translate product requirements into technical solutions.
Problem-Solving : Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications: Professional experience specifically with React Native development.
Experience with mobile app deployment processes for both iOS and Android.
Familiarity with state management libraries like Redux, MobX, or Recoil.
Understanding of the full mobile development life cycle from concept to deployment.
Experience with UI testing frameworks for React/React Native.
Experience working in an agile development environment.
Knowledge of native module integration in React Native applications.
Excellent component architecture and system design skills.
