Job Description
The Software Verification Engineer is responsible to understand software requirements, define and execute test cases to identify and report the defects found in the software systems. The role demands the engineer should be quick learner to understand products/domain.
• Develop test design
• Preparation of test specification
• Perform test activities
• Ensure conformance to organization and project quality processes
• Ensure product & process quality as per requirements
• Report errors using the bug tracking tools.
• Validate defect fixes; analyze impact of the fixes and the issue to closure.
Qualifications And Experience
• Engineering degree in Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• 5 - 7 years of professional experience in SW V&V of products (Windows, Web and Mobile)
• Sound knowledge of test methodologies related to different phases of the software test life cycle is a must.
• Good understanding of test and defect tracking tools (defect logging tools, test management tools, versioning systems, statistical tools, test automation tools etc.,) is a must
• Knowledge of test techniques, test scenarios generations, estimations, experience in test specification preparation is a must.
• Ability to analyze application logs is a must
• Expertise in various facets of testing (manual, automation, functional, non-functional, performance, load and stress) is desirable.
• Experience in Scrum is desirable.
• Working Knowledge of DICOM, HL7 is a plus.
• Added advantage if any experience in medical devices
• Test automation / test scripting experience are an added advantage.
