The Mastercard Consolidated Billing System (MCBS) team under the Financial Solutions program has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Software Development Engineer. Financial Solutions provides Mastercard and its customers with a fully automated and scalable system that delivers timely pricing and billing solutions as well as accurate stakeholder reporting. In this role you will be responsible for designing and developing billing programs to support Mastercard’s billing and enhance customers billing experience through simplification of the billing structures.
MasterCard software engineering teams leverage Agile development principles, advanced development and design practices, and an obsession over security, reliability, and performance to deliver solutions that delight our customers. We're looking for talented software development engineers to develop advanced technologies and applications that are revolutionizing payments.
Role
• Participate in requirements discussion, test planning, test data creation and execution of User Acceptance testing Plan, design and develop technical solutions and alternatives to meet business requirements in adherence with MasterCard standards, processes and best practices.
• Responsible for testing, implementation, documentation, maintenance and support of systems application software in adherence with MasterCard standards, processes and best practices.
• Work with project team to meet scheduled due dates, while identifying emerging issues and recommending solutions for problems and independently perform assigned tasks.
• Document software programs per Software Development Best Practices. Follow MasterCard Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes.
• Assist Senior Team members in modification of the documentation templates per the needs of the project and technology.
• Contribute ideas to help ensure that required standards and processes are in place and actively look for opportunities to enhance standards and improve process efficiency.
• Support collection and reporting of project and software metrics.
• Technical Skills in PERL, Unix Scripting, SQL, Database, API, Selenium, Java.
• Prior knowledge in IME and SingleView ( Billing products from CSGI is huge plus)
About You
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Management Information Systems or equivalent work experience.
• Must be high-energy, detail-oriented and proactive with the ability to function under pressure in an independent environment.
• Must provide the necessary skills to have a high degree of initiative and self-motivation with a willingness and ability to learn and take on challenging opportunities.
• Strong communication skills -- both verbal and written – with strong relationship, collaborative skills and organizational skills.
• Ability to work as a member of matrix based diverse and geographically distributed project team.
• Experience in Agile using Behavior driven development framework.
• Technical Skills in Unix Scripting, SQL, Database, API, Selenium, Java.
• Prior knowledge in IME and SingleView ( Billing products from CSGI is huge plus)
