developing stored procedures and functions
temporary tables
table variables
joiners
cross apply
in-memory table (MOTs)
scalar functions vs tvfs
table indexing and query usage
assisting in testing and tuning failing or poorly performing procedures
determining root causes efficiently in existing logic
understanding db data hierarchies and join criteria without needing diagram
extrapolating underlying data structure from sp logic
communicating issues, findings and test results to team\business personnel
working under loose sdlc processes
ssis
visual studio 2008+:
creating design docs for current ew etl jobs
reviewing refactor plans
upgrading ssis packages, implementing refactor suggestions and testing
deploying ssis packages to file system
for loop operations
interval and cdc load concepts
flat file import/export operations
