Responsibilities:
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic DevOps Engineer with an agile mindset who can develop end to end automation efforts in cutting-edge technologies, build & package enterprise level products and design the related projects, understand the lab environments, etc. Advocates for a culture of quality and continuous improvement. You love prototyping constantly improvising build turnaround times, develop Tools & systems that enable “self-help” environments for our engineering customers.
Responsibilities
In this role, your responsibilities are:
Designs, develops, and maintains high quality code, including agile skills, such as incremental development and automation.
Proposes technical solutions to product/service problems while refining, designing and implementing software components in line with technical requirements.
Thoroughly understand the Production build engineering of existing products. Strive to optimize the engineering by applying multiple techniques (such as parallel builds, advanced compiler features, etc.)
Help build a Continuous Deployment / Continuous Integration (CD/CI) pipeline
Develop automation that is leveraged like ‘engine’ by the features of a ‘self-help’ portal put together by DevOps Automation team.
Be flexible and work in a completely dynamic & agile environment
Needed Qualifications:
Experience in transforming automation technologies
Experience in developing self-service oriented automation
3-5 years of automation experience in Dev/Tools/SCM field
Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills, including the demonstrated ability to understand legacy systems, analyze complexities, communicate new optimization techniques clearly to a stakeholder based on solid data obtained from POC
Ability to self-manage time, priorities and exhibit a comfort/mastery of juggling multiple tasks, dedication to ‘Service’ oriented nature of the job and be excited to help make engineering easy.
Experience with complex scripting in Shell, .bat, and object-oriented programming in Python.
Experience with automating deployment of virtualized infrastructure
Experience in implementing container solutions with Kubernetes, Docker.
OpenShift, VMware Tanzu Kubernetes, Ansible knowledge a plus.
Experience with developing automation on cross-platform environments
Experience in Python, Ruby, PHP, and Perl
Enterprise software build tool/framework like ANT, Gradle, make and thorough knowledge of Compiler flags and features
Enterprise level Version Control System like GIT/Bitbucket
Experience or Good understanding of Agile work environment.
Must be a good team player.
Workflow mgmt. frameworks such as Jenkins
Desired skills:
Experience in working with cloud providers like Amazon (AWS) and Azure
Test automation tools like Test Engine, Selenium, Zephyr, Robot
Experience in Orchestrating software such as Ansible, Chef or Puppet
Experience with relational databases, e.g. SQL Server, Oracle
Experience in Continuous Development / Continuous Integration based fast paced agile based development
Experience in advanced programming in C++,/Java/C#
Knowledge on working open source components.
