Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and develop features according to business requirements using EIS platform
• Support systems that are already in production
• With guidance build good understanding of the customer and business needs along with products & associated features. Collaborate with product owner and other stakeholders for requirement elicitation
• Develop good quality code following established engineering practices and ensure on-time delivery. Participate in pairing mobbing, and peer review
• Develop and execute unit test cases
• Write automation tests to cover delivered features
• Proactively monitor and provide support & maintenance to the Product as per the established support agreement
• Contribute to the overall team success during all phases of the software development life cycle
• Follow established project execution processes
• Get actively involved in Training, self-development & knowledge sharing
• Complete Analysis & documentation as required by the project
• Hands on experience in DevOps practices and tools
• Demonstrate agile mindset and participate in scrum or equivalent ceremonies applicable to the adopted execution framework
• Build understanding of underlying product, architecture, and key design decisions to understand ‘why’ and participate in technical solutioning of features to better understand ‘how’
• With guidance from your leader, develop understanding of organization’s strategy, applicable strategic imperatives and relate how your work links with the operational plans
• Perform other job-related duties and special projects/ proof of concepts as required
• Active participation in Organizational and Team level initiatives
• Adhering to Principal Information Security Policy, Compliance requirements
Qualifications
Education: Graduate - Bachelor's degree (any stream) and 2+ years’ work experience or equivalent experience
Must have
• Experience with agile methodology
• Expertise in Core Java (Java 8), Spring Core, Spring Boot, JavaScript
• Unit Testing frameworks like Junit, Mockito, Power mock
• Experience working with REST API and knowledge of HTTP protocol
• Basic knowledge of Java Design patterns
• Basic working knowledge of Oracle/MySQL
• ORM Frameworks like Hibernate, JPA
• Working knowledge of version control tools like Git Hub
• Working knowledge of CI/CD tools like Bamboo

• Any prior experience of working as an EIS developer (EIS is an insurance software that enables many of the world’s leading insurers to innovate and operate like a tech company)
• Prior experience in working with Core Velocity
• Experience of working as a developer in building EIS Extensions
• Knowledge of EIS Policy Core, EIS Customer Core, EIS Billing etc.
• Knowledge of Spring IOC, Webflow, JSF, XML, Apache CXF, Jenkins, Sonar, fortify, Mend, Swagger, BPM, Apache SOLR, OpenL Web Studio
