Responsibilities:
• As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible to design, develop, deploy, maintain and enhance highly available web applications and APIS as part of high performing software engineering team working in the large-scale agile model.
• Develop and apply responsive design principles to implement and customize user interfaces using web on PCF
• Build applications using Agile Development using technologies such as Kotlin, Springboot, React for UI/UX : 16.8, Java: JDK 13 ,SQL: regular ANSI SQL , Oracle 12c, Cloud / SAAS experience, CICD pipeline + Test Automation, HTML, XML, user interface design, AWS/Cloud Experience, Junit
• Work to a backlog of stories and tasks prioritised by the product owner and share a team level common understanding of the customer needs, product goals and design decisions
• Improve time to market by using the existing CI/CD tools for self-managed deployment of new software version with zero down time, fast recovery, very low failure rate.
• Be able to understand and update CI/CD automation build and deployment scripts to support a continuous integration and deployment process for the team.
• Diagnose, de-bug and analyse production incidents, performance issues, load analysis and assist in capacity modelling
• View, analyse and use real time application usage and performance data available on the dashboards and apply the learnings to improve customer experience, error rate, security, application performance
• Provide technical input into effort estimation, impact assessment, application requirements with respect to functional, security, integration, performance, quality, and operations requirements.
• Report to the team leads on progress, blockers, priority conflicts, potential issues, and concerns
Requirements:
• Software Engineer or Programmer with 3- 8 years’ experience in all stages of software lifecycle
• Develop web applications using advanced skills in JAVA, Kotlin, Springboot, AWS, REST/SOAP microservices, Selenium, Jenkins, JIRA, develops microservices using highly advanced programming skills in Java and Spring Boot framework
• Uses Test Driven Development including Junit, Jest
• Practice Extreme programming principles such as Pair Programming
• Knowledgeable in Amazon Web Services and Pivotal Cloud foundry with specific ability to configure, deploy and manage applications hosted on these cloud platforms.
• Applies Twelve Factor principles to build software that has the characteristics of good microservices
• Performs incremental code builds, refactors code and builds in monitoring so quality code is rele
• Establishes a deep understanding of the customer by identifying/validating their needs and regularly involving them in design
• Works as part of teams that practice DevOps and Extreme Programming
• Participates in setting the test strategy, plans and metrics
• Develop automated testing code using Test Driven Development principles
• Continually tests throughout software development, leveraging service virtualisation for simulati
• Automates the configuration of the test environment
• Evaluates test outcomes for accurate findings and improves testing activity by debugging test and test automation scripts
• Identifies system issues and troubleshoots to uncover root causes using tools such as Splunk, New Relic
• Applies a deep understanding of platform architecture and technology in production support, raise ticket and escalate production issues.
• Participate on retrospective in identifying, resolving technology issues encountered during production support
• Remains calm in adverse situations and develops options for next steps
• Accommodates and responds to unforeseen changes to scope or requirements with an open and innovative mindset
• Degree/Diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology
