Python Expert – Management of C++/Java build systems & Tools (Linux)

This is your role. What part will you play?
We are looking for a python automation expert who has proven experience in automating solutions on Linux development environments. You should be capable of developing python based automation solutions that can be used to improve reporting, code coverage and data visualization solutions that are used to improve the SW-quality aspects of a large software system that is based on C++/ Java consisting of several millions lines of code and several 100.000 automated test cases You have a passion of automation and scripting and have the senior experience to instruct and lead other junior colleagues.
Main tasks:
• Understand the existing applications, processes, and workflows – identify potential for automation to reduce cycle times and feedback cycles
• Investigate configurations, build strategies and coverage tools existing in the system
• Implement techniques to enable code quality metrics, coverage data generation and automation solutions for various aspects of existing application
• Implement solutions to automatically generate test and code coverage reports that enables quick and context sensitive feedback on individual modules or component level code smells and test coverage gaps. Access existing data bases and web services and create / extend interfaces as required by the solution.
• Create efficient, reliable infrastructure with code, automate processes and provide operational support. Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations.
• Improve CI/CD tools integration/operations, and full automation of CI testing.
• Continuously review current practices and implement best practices and emerging concepts in CI/CD landscape.
• Implement data visualization solutions for huge data set using existing industry standard tools like Grafana.

• Proven experience in Linux development environments using Python.
• Experienced in developing Python based automation solutions
• Good knowledge in interacting with database systems (SQL, NoSQL) and webservices (REST)
• Good knowledge of analytics & monitoring solutions like Grafana
• Experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role
• Experienced in establishing an optimized CI / CD environment relevant to the project
• Automation using scripting language like Linux shell (e.g. Bash), Ruby.
• Experienced applying and using container technologies like Docker for packaging and deployment
• Having knowledge of code coverage integration using gcov/lcov is desirable
• Good knowledge in configuration and build tools like Bazel, Jenkins etc.
• Good knowledge on repository management tools like Git, Bit Bucket, etc.
• Excellent debugging skills/strategies.
• Excellent communication skills
• Experienced in working in an Agile environment
Nice to have:
• Good Knowledge in eclipse IDE, developed add-ons/ plugins on eclipse Platform
• Prior experience in java-based build systems and UI automation tools like QF-Test.
• Knowledge of +3K Semiconductor test platforms
• Good know-how of agile management tools like Jira, Azure DevOps.
• Good knowledge of RHEL
• Knowledge of JIRA administration
• Knowledge of Java or C++ (intermediate)
