Division Overview
Product & engineering works towards delivering a powerful yet flexible technology platform keeping the needs of the end customer in mind. Our development teams ensure that all the codes are delivered with the highest quality. Product managers are home to technical experts who work together to design and build our software and product roadmap, whereas our QA team is constantly aimed at enhancing the quality of our platform delivery through test methodologies for implementations, upgrades, and migrations.
Team And Role Overview
The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for the design and development of new modules and enhancements, as well as the maintenance of existing components. This role is a part of the Product team and works closely on different asset classes such as Fixed Income Equities, Treasury, Derivatives, and FX. The R&D-Engineering team has multiple subdivisions responsible for development and application enhancement as per the client’s request and ensuring systems are up to date. Our System is a large-scale software product for the capital markets supporting trading, risk management, and processing of various financial products such as Interest Rate, Equity, and Credit Derivatives.
Responsibilities
• You will design, develop, and implement new features to enhance our market-leading solutions
• Extend and maintain server-side business logic using modern, industry-standard technologies
• Engage with clients and product management to support and scale our existing solution portfolio
• Troubleshoot time-critical issues for multi-threaded business processes in an n-tiered architecture
• Help promote clean design, development, and coding practices across the global engineering organization
Skills And Requirements
• Minimum 6 years of post-academic experience in commercial software with significant and demonstrated experience leveraging Java for business domain logic
• Excellent object-oriented analysis, design, and development skills, including test-driven development (TDD)
• Working knowledge of relational databases, including RDBMS setup and tuning experience (Oracle / Sybase)
• Familiarity with open-source frameworks ideally including Spring, Hibernate, Spring MVC, Spring JDBC, ActiveMQ, and/or Apache Camel
• Experience with application servers (JBOSS) and software tools such as Eclipse, Gradle, and git
