Job Description
$5M seed round closed. Hardcore engineering. AI for air traffic control. SF-based.
We’re looking for engineers who are ridiculously sharp—people who think deeply about tradeoffs, understand systems, and know how to hack a codebase to get stuff done fast without compromising correctness.
This isn’t a playbook-following job. We want builders—folks who’ve wrestled with real problems, made messy prototypes work, and aren’t afraid to go deep on low-level bugs, performance bottlenecks, or distributed system quirks.
???? You might be a fit if you:
Have 3+ years of serious backend experience
Have strong computational fundamentals (algorithms, systems, optimization)
Know when to write something from scratch vs use an off-the-shelf tool
Have a nose for clean abstractions but don’t get stuck in theory
Can think in systems and spot edge cases before they bite you
Are language-agnostic – you pick the best tool for the job
Work best around other brilliant, obsessed minds
???? Bonus if you:
Have a PhD in Physics or equivalent deep technical training
Built something weird and complex before (personal projects or work)
Get joy from optimizing things 10x faster or more reliable
???? Location: SF. 5 days/week onsite.
???? Comp: $120K–$220K + 0.1%–1.0% equity
???? Sponsorship available if we’re a fit
⚙️ Interview Process:

About Us:
Enhanced Radar is building AI for air traffic control—we train our own transcript, vision, and language models for real-time airspace understanding. We build our own radio hardware, label our own data, and deploy our models alongside radar + ADS-B systems to monitor and enforce airspace compliance.
We own the entire stack—hardware → data → models → deployment. No layers of abstraction. No fluff.
