Experience
• Professional with 10+ years of experience in SAP cloud delivery. Strong experience in cloud software technology and cloud operations for minimum 4 years. Overall mandatory experience in SAP Basis should be minimum 2 years.
• High levels of experience in the SAP & Azure Cloud with a key focus on IaaS, networks and storage deployed through Bicep, ARM Templates or Terraform.
• Experience and expertise in heterogeneous/homogeneous migration of various SAP as well as DB products including a Java split in multi-OS landscape and on cloud (Azure).
• Post deployment configuration with Ansible, Bash Script or Python.
• In-depth knowledge of Azure and understanding of hyper-scale clouds using cloud native technologies.
• Experience and expertise in upgrade from and to various releases of SAP products such as EP, NetWeaver, ERP, BW, Solution manager.
• An excellent knowledge of running complex IaaS infrastructure through automation with Terraform and Ansible.
• Good understanding of Azure network and infrastructure security, including Azure Firewalls, App Gateways, NSGs.
• Alternative cloud platforms such as AWS or Google cloud.
• Migration experience of infrastructure from on-premises to Azure, with experience in Oracle or VMWare.
• Strong SAP Consulting experience having worked on versions ranging from S4HANA, ECC 6 EHP X, EP 6.0/7. xx, Web Dispatcher, BI 7.x, Solution Manager 7.xx, SLD, Transport Management systems, NWDI, BOBI 4.0.
• Experience in HANA Revision upgrade, Replication using SLT, Migration on HANA DB of BW and ECC, Backup and administration.
• Good communication skills across all levels.
• Highly proficient in analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated and self-starter who is results oriented with high degrees of accountability, commitment, and responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
As the Senior SAP Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for:
• Working with the Engineering Manager to ensure that the solutions are implemented following the architectural design. Collaborating with different teams to lead the solution during problem solving.
• Contributing to technical decisions and direction in a collaborative team environment, including estimation, planning, user story/requirement creation.
• The adoption of DevOps/Agile as the core philosophy for cloud infrastructure
development and implementation.
• Strong experience in operating a 16x5 SAP infrastructure across a global landscape
• Deep knowledge of Azure IaaS virtual machines, running either RHEL 7.x and 8.x or Windows Server 2026.
• Knowledge and experience in Bicep will be a plus point for the candidate.
• Preferred SAP certified professional who has worked in providing end to end SAP Basis support.
• Work with the infrastructure team to manage technical debt and trade-off solutions to ensure quality and cost are not compromised.
• In collaboration with SAP Basis operations team to resolve cross team problems and issues.
Good knowledge of automation frameworks in Azure DevOps with the latest tools and technologies, including Bicep, Terraform and Ansible.
• Defining the foundations for cloud automation by designing and consolidating infrastructure-as-code practices within the engineering team.
• Ensuring that the team adheres to and offers improvements to project standards and guidelines to enable scalable and testable code development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or a related field is required, targeted professional work experience may be considered in lieu of education.
• Mid-senior level relevant experience; demonstrable experience of working in engineering teams, with solid experience in developing, integrating, and managing the lifecycle of IT infrastructures, both on-premises and in the cloud.
• Experience in IT transformation programmed as Senior Cloud Engineer, architect, or product manager in an Agile DevOps environment.
• Strong Understanding across Microsoft Azure Infrastructure components (Server, Storage, Network, Data, and Applications) to Deliver End to End Cloud Infrastructure
Engagements that include assessment and migrations.
• Knowledge of SAP Finance and logistics solutions.
• Experience with orchestration technologies (ARM templates, Terraform, etc.)
• Experience with migration/consolidation of COTS solution in the cloud.
• Demonstrable data migration and data cleansing experience.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and influencing skills with decision
