Job Description
Position Responsibilities
• Agile personality and Software Craftsmanship mindset for leading the agile team for a quality deliverable
• Performs a Senior Developer role on Tech Refresh and Application modernization services to GCP Cloud
• Provides technical guidance (mentoring) to Developers at all levels
• Research new technologies, influences and implements enterprise technology shifts and new trends impacting Ford application delivery
• Applies deep technical expertise in a specific application development language
• Represents developer requirements for change control processes
• Consults to resolve complex application development and performance issues
• Collaborate with Dev enablement/ITO/Engineering teams for support and adherence to IT’s architecture standards and processes within department as appropriate
• Responsible for assessing requirements for estimates on need basis
• Advocates corporate standards in solution development and implementation
• Consults on establishment of the physical application framework (e.g. libraries, reuse modules, development environments). Consults with teams on applying new development technologies and tools
Skills Required
Must Have Skills:
• 7+ yrs overall IT experience including:
• 4+ yrs. of JAVA EE/Spring development experience
• 4+ yrs of experience in Java, Functional Languages
• 4 + yrs of experience in (SQL / ORACLE / DB2 / SQL server)
• Hands on experience in Junit, TDD, IntelliJ,Webstorm, with WebSphere application server or equiv Springboot/Angular, GIT, Gradle
• Hands on experience in DevOps tools like Sonarcube, Checkmarx, FOSSA, Jenkins
• Hands on experience in Cloud platforms & Services implementation is MUST in any Public cloud preferably GCP & Kubernates
• Agile project involvement, Software Craftsmanship principle alignment
• Deep understanding of core JAVA EE patterns
• Deep understanding of Embedded Messaging – asynchronous processing, XML schema design, transaction management
• Major contribution to multiple projects
Skills Preferred
Nice to Have Skills:
• Certification in programming languages and architecture
• Knowledge and experience designing and implementing SOA and API Governance with tools like WSSR, API Connect.
