About the team:
Cardbase team provides the complete end-to-end support of development life cycle of Card Management application that is used by issuers to manage prepaid, ATM, and debit card portfolios on the Milwaukee-Debit platform.
Card Management is a tool to help your institution meet the demands of a component of electronic banking known as electronic funds transfer or EFT. The primary purpose of this system is to record and track information about transactions conducted with plastic debit, credit, and combination cards at automated teller machines (ATMs), point-of-sale (POS) terminals, and merchant locations throughout the world and to pass that information to other applications for posting to appropriate accounts. Card Management also records and stores non-public personal information about the cardholder who owns and uses the plastic cards.
Card Management runs alongside the switch. The switch authorizes ATM/POS’S transactions and routes them through FIS and its shared networks.
Card Management is also referred as “Cardbase” and “CMS/CMSe”. CMS is the mainframe application, to host system of records as well as transactional processing, clearing, and reporting. CMSe is a web component of CMS, it is client facing application to control Card configurations, data presenting, controlling, and reporting. It is a service bureau application that does not support customizable versions. There are different features supported by integration with Mainframe and Web-Enabled components.
What you will be doing:
Position Description
FIS is looking for an energetic individual who will strive to meet the needs of our growing business. This individual will play a key role in analysis, design, development, and implementation of Cardbase applications for our Service Bureau clients. This individual will work closely with other internal/external departments to ensure that the Cardbase solution is meeting the needs of the business. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for delivering high quality solutions for strategic development projects and client requested enhancements.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop quality system enhancements per client request. Coordinate with Business Analyst and other technical team members to define requirements, analyze business needs and validate solutions with client. Create technical designs and approach document with high standards. Ownership as a technical lead driving the work for multiple project team members, providing code review and unit test case review. Code the assigned module(s) based on the technical design and coding standards to deliver error free output. Define unit test cases based on the technical design/functional design in a way that is comprehensive and verifies accuracy of developed features. Execute the unit test cases defined to ensure error free execution in both the desktop and by deploying it in the development environment. Perform documentation of the code changes and unit test result using SDF framework to maintain an audit trail of the changes. Provide clarifications to the quality control team on the requirements and modifications done to facilitate their testing. Perform production support activities by providing issue analysis and resolution within the specified SLA, depending on the severity of the issue. Performs thorough and comprehensive peer reviews on the output of other team members in a way that identifies to the maximum extent possible issues/errors in the output. Participate in code walkthroughs to the internal stakeholders. Participate in design discussions for acquiring better understanding of the product and domain. Willing to work on weekend on call night shifts on rotation basis (Typically rotation comes once in 6 weeks period) Willing to work on pace (Install) related coordination activities. Support and maintain the Cardbase applications. Support production implementations
What you bring:
8 to 10 years of strong experience in working on Java based skillsets mentioned below,
Experience in JAVA, J2EE, JavaScript, JSON, JSP, CSS, AJAX, JQuery, UNIX, MQ Series, UML, HTML, XML, Soap. Experience in Secure Coding to prevent XSS, CSRF and other vulnerabilities. Experience in Database experience in Oracle and DB2 Tool experience in Eclipse, CA SCM or Harvest, Control M Experience in full life cycle development Strong communication skills Solid analytical and problem resolution skills Proven history of technical leadership and successful implementations Additional experience in Prepaid/Debit card applications is desired. Additional experience in working with remote team members a plus.
Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
