Description
Web properties team is looking for building talented team of individuals with expertise in Web Development using cutting edge technologies. Team is responsible for building high performance application stack to meet business requirements. Web Properties manages the company primary Website, Nasdaq.com, as well as other corporate websites including the company intranet, working closely with the Marketing and Branding organization.
Reviews system requirements and business processes; codes, tests debugs and implements software solutions.
• 10+ years of Experience in developing web solutions using front end technologies. Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3.
• Understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
• Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
• Should have the knowledge of advanced JavaScript libraries and frameworks, such as ReactJS/ AngularJS.
• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
• Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
• Knowledge on node & npm
• Experience on Unit Testing (JTest & Jest)
• Experience using SCM tools like Git and having exposure to with Continuous Integration and Deployment.
• Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (e.g. Requirements, Design, Development, Testing) and exposure to Agile or iterative SDLCs.
• Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image. Familiarity with tools such as as Gimp or Photoshop is a plus.
• Knowledge of CMS, Drupal theme layer (twig)
• Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them.
• Good understanding of PWA/AMP programming concepts.
