Learn about and contribute to query engine internals, performance debugging, building highly scalable and maintainable systems, and much more
Design and develop features, understand customer requirements and meet business goals
Set the technical direction of multiple projects, and provide mentorship and guidance to other engineers
Build highly reliable software to meet the needs of the largest customers
Enhance the programmability surface of Snowflake and improve the experience of the data developer
Analyze fault-tolerance and high availability issues, performance and scale challenges, and solve them
Ensure operational readiness of the services and meet the commitments to our customers regarding reliability, availability and performance
Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake’s bonus and equity plan

Snowpark is an interface to Snowflake in different language environments, but also a platform that customers and partners build exciting applications on. OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE MOST OF THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3+ years industry experience designing, building and supporting large scale systems in production
• Experience with one of the following is required:
• Identifying and overcoming performance bottlenecks
• Identifying and overcoming scalability challenges
• Working on a database or data warehouse
• Working on a scalable and distributed system in public or private clouds
• Hands on coding experience in C++ or Java is highly desirable

AS A SOFTWARE ENGINEER AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL:
• Design and develop features, understand customer requirements and meet business goals.
