Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and versatile person to work with the Asset Servicing Reporting and Front Office (ASRFO) engineering team, with analysis, software development and support responsibilities.
As part of the engineering team you will take ownership and responsibility/accountability for the investigation of incidents, problems and business queries, for developing technology solutions in accordance with the business requirements and for supporting the systems owned and managed by the team.
The successful applicant is someone who wants to do technical analysis work, is pro-active in taking ownership of tasks and issues, and can communicate effectively with both technology and business teams.
Key Accountability
• Fulfil a role in the support and maintenance of the ASRFO systems, including overnight support on rotational basis
• Resolve and monitor support issues and problem records that arise as well as perform routine maintenance activities in conjunction with other technology groups.
• Perform project activities as directed by the development lead.
• Work under guidance of the Stream Lead Reporting and Front Office.
• Perform change management activities including approvals.
• Contribute to the development of systems documentation and provide system support by providing fail and fix application support.
Key Performance Indicator
• Take assigned initiatives from inception to successful change deployment across relevant assets and platforms
• Recognized as a key contributor to the innovation, development and implementation of changes relating to value control and reconciliations
• Evidence of potential cost savings through process simplification, optimization and automation
• Stakeholder engagement recognised as trusted advisor to the business
Experience
• It is expected that the role holder will most likely have the following qualifications and experience
• 1+ years Technology experience
• 1+ years in application development and / or support roles
• Microsoft SQL
• Microsoft SSIS
• Data Warehouse/Data Integration
• VB and VB Script
• Exposure to the following will also be beneficial
• PowerShell
• Control-M
• Excel/VBA
Essential Capabilities
• Experience in providing technology client service
• Proven ability to use relevant data analytics approaches and tools to problem-solve and trouble-shoot.
• Knowledge & experience with Build languages
• Focus on quality and detail.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Strong commitment to quality and auditability
Qualification Requirements
• Tertiary qualification in technology related degree
