About the Job As a VC++/C# Software Development Engineer at FLIR, you’ll play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining our United Video Management System (UVMS), a cutting-edge video surveillance system. You’ll collaborate closely with our experienced team to create, optimize, and sustain high-performance applications that handle real-time video and audio data. What You’ll Do • Enterprise application development: Design, develop, and maintain large-scale, distributed systems using VC++ and C# .NET. • Legacy system support: Contribute to the ongoing support and enhancement of our legacy applications, including .NET WinForms. • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to define and deliver new features and functionalities. • Performance optimization: Ensure high performance, scalability, and responsiveness of applications by identifying and resolving bottlenecks. • Code quality: Maintain high standards of code quality, organization, and testing practices. Participate in code reviews to uphold our commitment to software excellence. About You We are looking for candidates who are skilled in VC++ and C# and ready to thrive in a dynamic, highly technical environment. • Strong in VC++ and C#: You have 3-6 years of experience as a backend developer, with Managed C++, Visual C++, and C# .NET frameworks, and are proficient in developing robust, scalable software. • Multi-threaded programming: You have a deep understanding of multi-threaded programming and have applied it in high-performance systems. • Experienced in enterprise systems: You’ve worked with complex, large-scale systems, ideally in a distributed architecture. • Solution-oriented: You are resourceful, proactive, and focused on delivering high-quality solutions.
