Position: software Engineer (Data)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented Engineer to develop and implement data generation methods for testing and demonstrating. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of network traffic simulation, data generation, and software engineering.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Product Management team for data processing and research on technology.
Develop scripts to generate packets for various protocols.
Familiarity with Linux and ELK stack (Elastic Search, Logstach and Kibana)
Ability to create PCAP files and APIs across modules
Utilise tools like Scapy, Ostinato, Tcpreplay, and Iperf for traffic generation.
Test and validate the realism of generated data against real-world statistics.
Conduct performance testing to ensure scalability and efficiency.
Perform security checks to ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
Adhere to high-quality software development standards.
Responsible for maintaining the Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability of Vehere’s information assets including business-critical information.
Skills and Experience:
2 years of experience with BTech in Computer Science, or a related field.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, with experience in libraries/tools mentioned (e.g., Scapy, SIPp, Appium).
Understanding of VoIP protocols, network protocols (HTTP, SMTP, etc.), mobile applications.
Familiarity with basic Linux commands, Elastic search AI, and machine learning concepts, analytics is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Good understanding of different file formats like JSON, XLS, CSV etc.
Ability and willingness to acquire in-depth understanding of domain and existing products and apply that knowledge to work scenario.
