This individual will be responsible for creating products to host Supply Chain Analytics algorithms. Looking for someone with full stack experience, even if the specialty is in one area. This person should be a have 8+ years of experience with software engineering and testing, experience working in an Agile Environment, and experience with Rally. This person will have interactions with Ford leadership and needs to have good communication (both written and oral) and should feel comfortable not waiting and being told what to do.
Position Responsibilities
• Work hands-on with the team and other stakeholders to deliver quality software products that meet our customer's requirements and needs.
• Integrate Machine Learning algorithms and create working software products.
• Help GDIA Partners understand our iterative development approach and focus on delivering a Minimum Viable Product through careful and deliberate prioritization.
• Grow technical capabilities/expertise and provide guidance to other members of the team
• Prove out and validate new and complex solutions.
• Create high-level designs (systems-level sequence diagrams across the ecosystem)
• Validate and apply the architecture standards and guidelines
Required Skills
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar technical discipline
• 8+ years of work experience in delivering customer-facing products
• Strong development experience in at least one of the following technologies:
Java/Python/Scala/Springboot
Hadoop/Spark/Angular
• Exceptional software engineering knowledge; OO Design Principles
• 3+ years of experience with SQL and Python.
• 2+ years of experience with GCP or AWS cloud services
• 3+ years of experience building out data pipelines from scratch in a highly distributed and fault-tolerant manner.
• Basic understanding of Machine Learning and potential use cases
• Strong desire to learn new skills and apply them to solve business problems/opportunities
Desired Skills:
• Experience with GCP cloud services including BigQuery, Cloud Composer, Dataflow, CloudSQL, GCS, Cloud Functions, and Pub/Sub.
• Experience in delivering software products using an iterative approach
• Experience in end to end cycle of software development
• Familiarity with big data and machine learning tools and platforms. Comfortable with open-source technologies including Apache Spark, Hadoop, and Kafka.
• Familiar with deploying to cloud platforms, preferably Pivotal Cloud Foundry or Cloud Foundry
• Delivered products that include web front-end development; JavaScript, client-side MVC frameworks like Angular, etc.
• Capable in Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery tools and pipelines such as Jenkins, Gradle, etc
