We are looking for a highly motivated Mainframe Application Developer to join Software engineering Legacy Team
We are looking for enthusiastic candidates to be part of core agile delivery team member on a variety of software development and integration project with good Mainframe technology experience and Client server technology. Candidate must be proficient in COBOL, CICS, DB2, TSO, VSAM, and other mainframe tools.
Job responsibilities -
• Requires the knowledge of Mainframe tools: COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, MQ, Endeavor, Quality Center and CA7/ZEKE, adhere to coding/testing standards and procedures.
• Needs to build high quality technology solutions that address business needs by designing and developing of business process applications under Global Custody applications within mature Mainframe technology
• Should be self starter and needs to able to build and deploy application changes on own
• Participate in Scrum planning sessions with Scrum master and agile team members to analyze business requirements and provide IT solutions.
• Document and lead design reviews, provide input to the design recommendations; incorporate security requirements into design;
• Adherence to IT Control Policies throughout design, development and testing and incorporate Corporate Architectural Standards into application design specifications.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills :
• Experience in CICS, File-aid, DB2, COBOL, CA7, JCL, VSAM, MQ and ENDEVOR.
• Experience of relevant development life cycle in applications development.
• Proven ability to design unit test cases/plans, successfully execute those plans, and deliver high quality code on schedule
• Excellent analytical and problem resolution skills are a must.
• Excellent written and oral skills are necessary.
• Excellent analytical, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills coupled with a strong work ethic
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
• Knowledge of banking and security services Domain
• Experience with Client server technology is an advantage.
• Experience with automated testing tools such as QTP is an advantage
• Experience working on high volume, mission critical batch and on-line systems is a definite plus.
