As the Engineering Manager, you will be partnering with product leadership and other cross-functional stakeholders to shape the product vision and strategy. As the technology leader for the team, you will be responsible for crafting the technology roadmap with an emphasis on craftsmanship and operational excellence. Realization of the roadmap is also heavily tied to the larger LinkedIn ecosystem Your ability to build relationships across the company, understand strategic priorities for LinkedIn as a whole, as well as its sub-parts resulting in strong collaboration, is critical to succeed in this role. You, along with your team will partner closely with Business Development, Product Managers, Product Engineers and external partners to find, define and work around external APIs.

Responsibilities:
Manage the performance and career development of a small team of engineers, and own significant parts of Product Platform that require design, architecture, and coding.
Participate with senior management in developing a long-term technology roadmap.
Be a role model and professional coach for engineers with a strong bias for action and focus on craftsmanship.
Work with peers across teams to support and leverage a shared technical stack.
Manage teams to scale distributed applications, make architectural trade-offs applying synchronous and asynchronous design patterns, review code, and deliver with speediness and quality.
Develop multi-tier scalable, high-volume performing, and reliable user-centric applications that operate 24x7.
Produce high-quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed, and checked in regularly for continuous integration
Basic Qualifications:
BS/BA in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent technical experience
8+ years of industry experience and 2+ years of hands-on people management experience
3+ years experience in large-scale system design and software development
3+ years of hands-on technical management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in computer science or related domain
Experience with building and growing teams
Experience in stakeholder management and partnering with product leadership on strategy, and creating a world class product experience that delights customers, helps them succeed, and thus grows the business
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
