Role Details:
As the software manager you blend deep engineering knowledge and experience and an understanding of different technologies like Cloud, SaaS products, Full stack, etc., with a passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing associates. You are deeply committed to improving the value delivered to our customers.
In an agile structure you will collaborate with other leaders to establish the standards for your team, influence the strategic decisions and build solutions domain to your expertise. You will directly manage a team of resources who primarily work within autonomous teams across product area but report directly to you. You are dedicated to helping them grow and develop in their knowledge area and ensure alignment on the “how” of the work they perform. You are committed to developing your own expertise and knowledge to bring the latest thinking to your role to empower others with that knowledge.
Supporting and empowering the members, to enable delivery of increased value in their teams.
Using your leadership skills, you are expected to develop engineering experts aligned to respective squads, building high performing elements in them to achieve the org goals and roadmap.
influence strategic backlog and prioritization decisions related to your area of expertise
measure performance through established objectives and KPI’s to deliver agreed upon business, technology, and people results
align team members across squads and product areas to ensure the best utilization of talent while also building learning opportunities and learning day content to develop skills
Desired Profile:
12-15 years of work experience
Prior managerial experience of a team of at least 10-15 individuals.
Experience in leading, coaching, mentoring people and around engineering practices.
Proven experience of identifying and acquiring talent needs (resource planning and talent allocation)
It is crucial that you should have delivery oversight experience of implementation projects, should have managed development teams, should be aware of production support framework and handling escalations.
You should have at least 5-10 years of development experience.
Familiar with programming languages like Oracle PL/SQL, C#, etc. and a fair clarity of web application development and API.
Knowledge of Low code Platforms is a big plus.
DevOps, familiarity with ALM tools like Jira, Jenkins, etc is good to have.
It will be great if you have had any past working knowledge in financial domains
