Salesforce, a global leader in enterprise IT, is seeking a dedicated Senior Software Engineer to join our BT Employee Success (ES) Data Integrations and Analytics Space (DIAS) team. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work with a group of world-class engineers, architects, and product managers to build scalable breakthrough features and integrations. Your role will involve designing and deploying enterprise-wide Mulesoft integrations on the Cloud platform and providing technical leadership to engineers on the team.
Responsibilities
• Design and deploy dynamically scalable, highly available, fault-tolerant, and secured enterprise-wide Mulesoft integrations on the Cloud platform.
• Provide leadership in designing and architecting data pipelines using Mulesoft and Snowflake platforms.
• Collaborate with geographically distributed teams and contribute to small and large-size implementations.
• Offer technical guidance and mentorship to engineers on the team.
• Contribute to recruiting efforts to attract top-notch software engineers.
• Embrace new technologies and work with various tools and technologies to achieve desired functionality.
• Work in an Agile/Scrum methodology environment.
• Collaborate effectively with multi-functional teams and customers.
Required Skills
• 10+ years of experience in software development.
• 6+ years of API and web services development experience using Mulesoft 4.x.
• 5+ years of experience in Java or Python.
• 2+ years of experience building integrations using Apache Kafka/Anypoint MQ/Rabbit MQ.
• 2+ years of experience in AWS or public cloud platforms.
• Experience developing and supporting distributed systems and enterprise system integrations using RESTful APIs and standard data formats (JSON, XML, SOAP).
• Proficiency in developing with Mulesoft tools and components, including ESB, Anypoint Studio, API Management, Flow Designer, Dataweave, ETL, and exception handling.
• Experience developing Mulesoft integrations with systems such as Salesforce, Workday, Oracle ERP, SAP Concur, cloud and on-prem databases.
• Ability to measure planned integrations and estimate expected vcore requirements and SLA based on factors like QPS, data volume, design, etc.
• Familiarity with Mulesoft CI/CD technologies, such as Maven, Jenkins, and Git.
• Solid knowledge of data structure and data management practices (maps, caches, ETL).
• Experience writing SQL or similar database query languages.
• Understanding of Mulesoft Enterprise Security and other security features (policies, roles, etc.).
• Mulesoft Certified Professional or any public cloud certifications.
Nice To Have Skills
• Experience in analytics, data warehousing, and data visualization tools such as Tableau to drive data-driven insights and deliver meaningful analytics solutions.
• Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting data to derive practical insights.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and tools, including data modeling, ETL (e.g. Informatica PowerCenter, IICS), job orchestration (e.g. Airflow, Tidal), and data governance.
• Familiarity with data integration techniques and standard methodologies.
• Ability to create interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reports using Tableau or similar tools.
• Understanding of data visualization principles and standard methodologies.
• Experience in data analysis, data mining, and statistical modeling.
• Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of AI/ML and predictive analytics concepts.
• Experience with agile DevOps methodologies, practices, and tools, such as CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), configuration management, and production support.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP) and understanding of cloud-native architecture principles.
• Understanding of monitoring and logging tools and practices for applications and infrastructure (e.g. Grafana).
• Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and practices (e.g. MUnit).
• Experience building and managing scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure and applications.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in complex distributed systems.
