Software Engineering Lead

About their Team
You will be joining a team of 6 which consists of 2 permanent Software Engineers and 4 contract staff. They have a strong supportive culture, with a keen focus on innovation, technical excellence, and career development.
About the Role
Taking on a leading role in their technology team, you will take responsibility for the continuous improvement and growth of a team of passionate developers, ensuring personal growth and constant challenges for its members. You will agree on reliable timelines and ensure the quality of the results.
Responsibilities
Utilizing your extensive Python experience to guide the developers and development strategies
Being able to optimize the team's strengths ensuring that the team functions as a unit and upskill the team.
Conducting performance reviews, coaching, mentoring and managing the team members and support them in their career growth
Collaborating with cross-functional technical teams to develop a culture of sharing, collaboration and continuous improvement
Requirements
Possess skills to lead a team of developers, to inspire and build relationships
Have analytical, problem solving and communication skills, including communicating technology to non-technical stakeholder
Experience in web development and Python, software architecture and development best practices
Experience with DBMS, both relational and non-relational.
Experience with SPA frameworks ( React) is desirable.
