The Opportunity
“The FICO Marketing Solutions group develops market-leading and innovative solutions for consumer marketing clients. As a Solution Engineer, your engineering prowess will be utilized and honed as you work with a world-class team of technical professionals.” - Director, Marketing Solutions.
What You’ll Contribute
• Develop and enhance solutions in a wide variety of programming languages, for example, C, C++, Java, JavaScript, PL/SQL and Perl.
• Work directly with client teams and server infrastructure teams to build and maintain environments.
• Install, test, and support a variety of software applications such as SAS, AbInitio and Informatica.
• Production support and processing of files used to enrich customer data.
• Database tasks include developing and enhancing procedures written in Oracle PL/SQL, writing DDL to create /alter Oracle objects (tables, indexes, synonyms, etc.).
What We’re Seeking
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering or related technical field.
• Demonstrated experience working within a team environment, coordinate activities across virtual teams, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while facing tight deadlines.
• Advanced development skills in several programming languages with knowledge of at least two of the following preferred: C, C++, Java, JavaScript, PL/SQL and Perl.
• Unix command line proficiency, including shell scripting.
• Demonstrates development skills on a web application tech stack, including VbScript/Javascript/J2EE, HTML5, JSON, and XML.
• Experience working with Oracle Database, including PL/SQL, DDL and Indexing strategies.
• Assistance with supporting an on-call rotation within the team (every 4-5 weeks).
• Experience in large database and transaction systems, including schema and SQL query design and implementation for Oracle and Netezza database technologies is preferred.
