Responsible for design, development (via code and configuration) for change requests and product customization, debugging and/or maintenance of software systems related to 4G/5G core network functions like Charging, Policy and Mediation.
What will your job look like?
• You will be responsible for low level Technical Design, development, modifications, debugging and/or maintain software code and configuration according to functional, non-functional, and technical design specifications.
• You will follow Amdocs software engineering standards, applicable software development methodology and release processes, to ensure code/configuration is maintainable, scalable, and supportable, and demo the software products to stakeholders.
• You will investigate issues by reviewing/debugging code, provide fixes and workarounds, and review changes for operability to maintain existing software solutions.
• You will work within a team, collaborate with team members (like developers, testers, specialists, lead engineer, Dev-Ops engineer, Solution Architect and project manager) and add value through participation in peer code reviews, provide comments and suggestions, and work with cross functional and geographically distributed teams to achieve goals.
• You will assume technical accountability for your specific work products within an application and provide technical support during solution design for new requirements.
• You will be encouraged to actively look for innovation, continuous improvement, and efficiency in all assigned tasks.
All you need is...
• MUST HAVE SKILLS –
Minimum 2-3 years of working experience in Maven and Java-8 or above (Stream, Optional, Lambda)
Knowledge of Apache Camel Framework, Rx Java, Sprint Boot
Experience of using Linux commands, debugging in server environment, working knowledge of ssh and shell scripting
Firsthand Experience RESTful APIs, good understanding of SOAP APIs
Working knowledge Kubernetes and Docker commands, basic troubleshooting knowledge and log analysis
Hands-on experience on certain DevOps tools and lifecycle - Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins, JIRA, IDE like Eclipse/IntelliJ/VCS, Confluence
Strong Communication/Interpersonal skills to work in a geographically distributed team and flexibility to work with global customers across different time zones
Experience in creating good documentation for technical and functional designs
Understanding and awareness of good coding practices/standards
Software Delivery Experience on CNF based applications
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS –
Experience of working in Telecom core network domain - 4G/5G core network functions like Charging, Policy, 3GPP standards and protocols
Experience of working with any kind of DBMS technology like RDBMS (e.g. Oracle, PostGres) or NoSQL databases (e.g. VoltDB, Couchbase etc)
Knowledge and experience with different test automation tools like J-Units, Jmeter, Karate and Postman, Static code analysis tools like SonarQube, data visualization tools like Kibana/Grafana, tracing tools like e.g. Jaeger
Microservices - Design, development, and deployment
Knowledge of helm
Knowledge or Experience of Cloud platforms like AWS, Azure
Awareness and use of AI based software development tools like Github Co-pilot for day-to-day Development tasks
Apache Kafka or related Publish-subscribe messaging technology
Experience with working in software projects following agile methodology
DevSecOps knowledge - CI/CD, Jenkins/Gitea/JFrog, Ansible
Awareness and use of AI based software development tools like Github Co-pilot/Tabnine for day-to-day Development tasks
