Job Description
One of our clients in the US, one of Fortune 500 companies into IT Consulting space, is in need of 10 Software License Specialists to work remotely as an independent contractor. While work is mostly remote, we see one day in a month where a client meeting/machine update maybe needed.
As Software License Specialist, you will be responsible for managing licensing agreements and optimizing software licenses from publishers (like VMware, IBM, Microsoft, SAP, Adobe, OpenText, Salesforce, Quest, RedHat, Citrix, and others) to ensure compliance, cost-efficiency, and adherence to legal requirements. You play a crucial role in advising on software renewals, usage and license term negotiations.
Experience with SaaS portals on VMWare, Adobe, Microsoft Volume Licensing, and DocuSign will be helpful.
RESPONSIBILITIES
End-to-End Software License Management
Manage licensing agreements, including Select Plus, Enterprise, and other agreements, and oversee renewals.
Work on a SAM Tool for different software publishers
Assess compliance with licensing Terms and Conditions (T&Cs) for software publishers
Prepare Effective Licensing Position (ELP) reports
Interpret current and past Product Terms for various software publishers.
Navigate software publisher portals and interpret usage reports.
Manage product licenses deployed both on-premises and in the cloud, including understanding of BYOL requirements for different cloud providers.
Analyse entitlement reports and software deployment data to create detailed license usage reports.
Collaborate effectively with a global, cross-functional team across different time zones.
Knowledge base update.
QUALIFICATIONS
5 years experience in Software Asset Management and ELPs (Effective Licensing Position)
Experience using SAM tools (ServiceNow SAM Pro, Flexera, Snow)
Experience managing licenses for various publishers, including VMware, IBM, Microsoft, SAP, Adobe, and others.
Proficient in interpreting Product Terms and managing licensing agreements.
Ability to navigate publisher portals and interpret usage reports.
Familiarity with virtual technology terms and entitlement reports analysis.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a global, cross-functional team.
