The "Software Quality Engineer" within Electric Propulsion System, Electromobility Bangalore is responsible for software quality management within an ASPICE and Functional Safety conform process framework and for the processes, methods and tools necessary to develop an advanced E/E Architectures.

Electromobility in Bangalore is a young, dynamic and growing organization. We work in close cooperation with colleagues across globe to develop solutions and components which will electrify Volvo vehicles and contribute for a sustainable future.
The importance of electromobility is growing every day and a key component within the electrified powertrain is the Electric Propulsion System (EPS). At our section, we are accountable for the system and software development of the propulsion control, from advanced engineering, throughout product development into the maintenance phase.
We are now looking for a software quality engineer to strengthen our team and you will work with cross functional, global teams to control and assure quality of our deliverables (requirements till release) with agreed QDCF target for Electric Propulsion System area.
What will you do?
Be primarily responsible for software quality management within an ASPICE and Functional Safety conform process framework.
Define and continuously improve a harmonized set of processes to develop advanced E/E products.
Compile a quality assurance and control plan with right checks and balances for the conformance of system and software development processes to ASPICE and Functional Safety ISO26262.
Execute continuous assessments in development projects to ensure product and process quality.
Provide guidance to project team members for an effective and efficient achievement of conformity and compliance.
Proactive communication of the status of conformity measures to the EPS management team.
Ensure that the lessons learned are documented and disseminated to all project team members.
Who are you?
To be successful in this position, we believe that you need to be a team player with an experience in Quality Management System.
We also believe that you have:
Degree in Electronics /Electrical / Automotive engineering or similar
Min. 8+ years of experience in product development process in the automotive industry for vehicle functions, embedded system and software.
Good communication skills in English (spoken and written)
Problem-solving and analytical mindset
Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and build your own network within our teams
Experience in relevant process management (e.g. Agile, V model)
Expert knowledge of ASPICE, ideally with an ASPICE provisional assessor certification.
Advanced knowledge of ISO26262-compliant software development preferred, ideally with an ISO26262 Professional certification.
Good knowledge of quality management systems, methods and procedures (e.g. IATF 16+4+, risk management, FMEA, 8D, etc.) as well as customer-related processes.
Good understanding of the software development toolchain including continuous development, integration, verification and release
