Job Summary:
The Manager, Sales Planning is responsible for reviewing weekly performance and assisting in the development and execution of business strategies to drive account objectives. This will include but not limited to sales analysis/reporting, forecasting, inventory and order management. This position is responsible for developing strong collaborative relationships with internal and external partners at all levels while maintaining It Cosmetics company values to achieve strategic initiatives.
Forecasting:
Work with the National Account Director to forecast and track monthly retail sales and gross shipments for new launches and basic replenishment (Sell through & Sell in)
Provide weekly sales targets for stores, key launches, and dotcom business to achieve established goals
Ensure forecasting alignment across Demand Planning, Marketing, and Finance teams for new product launches/key items; lead monthly meetings to discuss gaps and business opportunities
Reports and Analysis:
Publish weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly sales reports to recap business, communicating successes and opportunities for improvement
Analyze business performance by category, product, comp/new stores, regions etc. as needed to influence business decisions
Prepare month end reporting for Finance Department to summarize business drivers MTD and YTD
Inventory Analysis & Management:
Analyze weekly inventory position to manage retailers seasonal stock/sales plan
Assist/Lead call with retailer to discuss stock needs, availability, and flow to maximize retailer open to buy and ensure minimal disruption of business
Publish quarterly reports with, SKU ranking by unit/volume and partner with Marketing/National Account Director on recommendations for product discontinues and placement
Forecast potential returns and advise on sell down strategy
Other:
Troubleshoot inventory concerns or visual callouts from brand field team
Oversee setup of new items in retailer catalog (NIFs/PIMs)
Maintain Account calendar of activities/events
DIF/Testers – Analyze, Track, and Process monthly damages and testers
Assist in tracking and processing approved contracts, chargebacks, and deductions as approved by Account Director
Help prepare for sales and market meetings as needed (pack gratis, prepare PowerPoint presentations/analysis, coordinate meeting rooms)
Job Requirements
3-5 years of relevant experience in wholesale planning, buying, and/or account management
Understands the importance of relationship development/management
Ability to deal with complex and ambiguous situations
Demonstrated management and self-initiative skills required
Excellent analytical skills
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal with a high attention to detail.
Highly proficient Microsoft Excel skills; Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Strong business acumen; comprehensive understanding of retail math.

ensure quality of service by developing a thorough and detailed knowledge of technical specifications and other features of employers' systems and processes, and then documenting them
carry out cold-calling in order to create interest in products and services, generate new business leads and arrange meetings
identify and develop new business through networking and follow-up courtesy calls
prepare and deliver presentations and demonstrations of software to customers
market and promote a portfolio of products by writing and designing sales literature and attending industry events
maintain awareness and keep abreast of constantly changing software and hardware systems and peripherals (e.g. keyboard and mouse)
develop effective sales plans using sales methodology
provide technical advice to customers on all aspects of the installation and use of computer systems and networks, both before and after the sale
advise on software features and how they can be applied to assist in a variety of contexts such as accounting, manufacturing or other specialist areas
meet sales targets set by managers and contribute to team targets
network with existing customers in order to maintain links and promote additional products and upgrades
handle hardware or software problems and faults, referring on to specialist technical colleagues where appropriate
respond to tender documents, proposals, reports and supporting literature
manage workload in order to organise and prioritise daily and weekly goals
contribute to team or progress meetings to update and inform colleagues.
