Mō te Tūranga | About the role:
The Lend & Protect Tribe (L&P) is an Enterprise Tribe that looks after customer experiences for home lending, insurance, and business lending. As a Software Specialist, you will be supporting Credit Apps squad. This squads owns numerous services including lending apps, our platform to support lending for retail & business and also our collection platform and various databases that supports those platform.
You'll be part of a team at the forefront of working to deliver and support a secure, functional and performant ecosystem to our financial market's customers. In our diverse environment, our people grow their agile mind-set, learn, evolve, and utilise their skills, while being empowered to make decisions. You'll have the opportunity to get hands-on with some interesting and complex pieces of work on an enterprise scale, all while being part of a smaller squad that makes their own decisions about how to work through prioritisation - so your voice will be heard, and your opinions valued. We'll value your understanding of financial markets, your proven initiative, problem solving abilities and leadership skills as we look for every engineer to lead from their position

We'll value your proven initiative, problem solving abilities and leadership skills as we look for every engineer to lead from their position. We advocate agile, fully cross functional teams which will take you through all facets of engineering in any given day. We are looking for a mix of technical skills, including:
Extensive experience designing and developing APIs and system integrations across diverse platforms.
Advanced troubleshooting capability in Postman covering endpoint validation, debugging failures, analysing logs, and optimising API workflows.
Knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth, JWT, etc.).
Strong understanding of RESTful principles and API design & Microservices.
Experience working with Microservice architecture
Strong C# .Net, WEB API development, Knowledge on Microsoft Access,
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git & Github). Experience with migrating DevOps Repos to GIT Hub will be added advantage.
Experience with Pipeline management, Octopus & DevOps pipelines
Experienced in SQL Server and database design.
Strong design and programming skills in C# .Net
Proven experience building SDKs, libraries, and reusable software components
In-depth understanding of data analysis and incident management skills.
Experience with cloud / on-prem platforms
Proficiency in Agile methodologies.
Mentoring/ guiding / contributing on standards and best practices in code development, quality and technical design and influencing engineering craft.
Lead projects / initiatives & work independently
