Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Software Technical Writer to join our dynamic team at VisaTrack on a temporary contract basis. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in documenting our software, which has already been built, by creating comprehensive technical documentation that serves as the blueprint for our software. This position requires close collaboration with our Technical Product Manager to develop the Technical Road Map and provide detailed descriptions of the languages used in building our software.
Key Responsibilities:
Create detailed technical documentation for our existing software, including diagrams illustrating the relationships between tables, fields, and the overall database and file structure.
Collaborate with the Technical Product Manager to analyze the code and document the Technical Road Map.
Describe the programming languages and technologies used in the software development process.
Ensure all technical documents are clear, concise, and easily understood by various stakeholders.
Update and maintain technical documentation as the software evolves.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in technical writing for software, with a strong portfolio of previous work.
Proficiency in creating diagrams to illustrate complex technical concepts.
In-depth understanding of database structures, tables, fields, and file systems.
Ability to work closely with technical teams to gather information and document software functionality.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Familiarity with programming languages and software development processes.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in the SAAS industry.
Familiarity with visa management or immigration software.
