Roles and Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements and design effective test strategies and plans.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test cases and test scripts to validate software functionality, performance, and usability.
• Identify and document software defects and issues using appropriate defect tracking tools, and work with the development team to investigate and resolve them.
• Conduct manual and automated testing to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications, including functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
• Perform exploratory testing to uncover potential defects and usability issues.
• Participate in the review and analysis of software requirements, specifications, and design documents to ensure testability and coverage.
• Collaborate with the development team to define and improve testing processes and methodologies.
• Monitor and track software testing progress, providing regular updates to the project team and stakeholders.
• Generate and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, tools, and technologies related to software testing and quality assurance.
• Continuously improve testing techniques, methodologies, and processes to enhance overall software quality.
• Participate in the software release process, including conducting final quality checks and providing approval for release.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, and business analysts, to ensure clear communication and alignment on testing requirements and timelines.
Eligibility Criteria:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven work experience as a Software Test Engineer or similar role, with a strong understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and tools.
• Experience in manual and automated software testing, including test planning, test case development, execution, and defect tracking.
• Proficiency in using testing tools and frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
• Solid knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
• Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify, isolate, and reproduce defects.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple testing tasks and responsibilities.
• Good understanding of software requirements and the ability to translate them into comprehensive test cases.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely document and communicate test results and issues.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively contribute to a positive and productive work atmosphere.
• Knowledge of programming languages, such as Java, C#, or Python, is a plus.
• Relevant certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) are desirable but not mandatory.
