Software Test Engineer Role And Responsibilities:-Responsible for evaluating software using automated or manual testing methods and analyzing the results. Strong analytical skills can help them navigate and break down complex software systemsExecute all the test cases and report defects, defining severity and priority for each defect.Testing every time when changes are made to the code to fix defects.Collaborate with the standard engineering team and ensure incorporation of all design improvements into the system as per standard databases.Develop test cases and prioritize testing activities.Responsible for designing and implementing test procedures to ensure that software programs work as intended. They are mostly hired by software development companies to ensure that products perform to specifications before being released to the public.Should not compromise on the quality of service and follow industry standards.To check if testing is going hand in hand with the software development in all phases.Prepare the status report of testing activities.Required Interactions with customers.Updating project managers regularly about the progress of testing activities.Analyze all customer requirements and provide appropriate and accurate tested software and coordinate with customer services, and project management to implement all projects.Skills:-The most important skill for a software tester is proper analytical skills. This helps break down any complex system's process into smaller segments to understand the code better. Additionally, it also paves the way for designing better test casesExcellent communication skills in English -both verbal and written.Should have experience in manual testing in web applications in a live project environment.Strong prior experience in Manual and Automation Testing.Ability to work under pressure.Should have good analytical thinking.Be proactive in your actions.Able to handle multiple projects at a time.Result-oriented & willing to undertake new challenges and responsibilities.Strong customer and delivery focus
