Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute detailed test cases and test scripts for diverse applications, including mobile (Android and iOS) and web-based systems.
Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks utilizing tools such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, and scripting languages like Python, JavaScript, C#, or Bash.
Conduct functional testing, system testing, regression testing, performance testing (using LoadRunner or similar tools), and user acceptance testing to validate software functionality against requirements.
Develop and execute API testing strategies for RESTful APIs and SOAP web services to ensure seamless integration across systems.
Collaborate with developers during the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) to identify bugs early through continuous integration (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
Perform root cause analysis on defects to facilitate quick resolution and improve overall product quality.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of test cases, test results, defect reports, and test automation scripts using tools like HP ALM or Jira.
Support release management activities by verifying software builds and coordinating deployment procedures across environments such as Windows, Linux, or cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
Participate in requirements gathering sessions with business analysts and stakeholders to understand project scope and translate them into effective testing strategies.
Contribute to process improvements by adopting Agile or Waterfall methodologies while aligning with best practices in QA/QC standards.
Requirements
Proven experience in software testing within an Agile environment with a strong understanding of SDLC processes.
Proficiency in test automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, or similar frameworks.
Hands-on experience testing mobile applications on Android and iOS platforms using tools like Appium or similar solutions.
Solid knowledge of RESTful API testing using Postman or REST-assured; familiarity with SOAP web services is a plus.
Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, JavaScript, C#, Bash (Unix shell), or Java for automation purposes.
Experience working with version control systems like GitHub, GitLab, SVN (Subversion), or TFS (Team Foundation Server).
Familiarity with database management systems including MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle PL/SQL, MongoDB or DB2 for data validation and analysis.
Knowledge of DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines for seamless integration and deployment processes.
Ability to perform load testing using LoadRunner or similar tools; understanding performance tuning is advantageous.
Excellent analytical skills for data analysis and troubleshooting complex issues related to software performance or functionality.
